The glabella, i.e. the area between the eyebrows, is very significant for the aesthetics of the face.\u00a0Very often negative expressions such anger, gloom or skepticism are reflected in the form of a deep wrinkle or crease in the area between the eyes.<\/p>\n

The wrinkles, which are formed over the years between the eyebrows, are a result of chronic muscular contraction of three muscles located in the glabella region: the pyramidalis muscle (centrally) and the two corrugator supercilii muscles (one on each side).<\/p>\n

As we grow old, the constant frowning activity of the muscles mentioned above \u201ccarves\u201d the glabella region and usually creates one or two unsightly deep wrinkles similar to creases.<\/p>\n

The real reason of appearing wrinkles in the glabella region is the constant muscular contraction of the three muscles, which create over the years a \u201chollow\u201d in the glabella region, like there is a tissue deficit.<\/p>\n

How can we correct the glabella wrinkles, i.e. the wrinkles between the eyebrows?<\/h2>\n

The improvement or disappearance of glabella wrinkles can be possible with the combination of two treatments: \u0181O\u01acOX (firstly) and (then) Hyaluronic Acid<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

How does the \u0181O\u01acOX correct the wrinkles between the eyebrows and what is its mechanism of action?<\/h2>\n

\u0181O\u01acOX (also known as botulinum toxin)<\/strong>, when selectively applied on the procerus and the corrugator supercilii muscles, deactivates the action of these muscles, responsible for the appearance of the glabella wrinkles. This way, the muscles are not contracted and the wrinkles are getting smoother.<\/p>\n

How can we correct the glabella wrinkles using Hyaluronic Acid?<\/h2>\n

In the area of glabella wrinkles we apply a local anesthetic cream for 20-25 minutes in order to avoid pain.
