Mr. Koutsouris graduated from the Department of Medicine of the University of Patras in 1997. After completing his academic studies, he began his specialization in General Surgery at the University Hospital of Rio and subsequently specialized in Vascular and Thoracic Surgery at the 251 Hellenic Air Force General Hospital, gaining extensive experience in the surgical reconstruction of tissues of the trunk and limbs.

He continued his training at KAT Trauma Hospital, where he acquired knowledge and expertise in surgical trauma reconstruction as well as in the approach to oncological problems, applying both Plastic Surgery and Microsurgery techniques.

In 2005, he travelled to Rome, where he trained in the field of 3D liposculpture under Professor Marco Gasparotti and was introduced to the principles of three-dimensional superficial liposculpture (liposcultura superficiale tridimensionale).

In 2005, he visited Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York, where he was taught pioneering techniques for the reconstruction of complex head and neck problems by internationally renowned Professor Jatin Shah.

In 2006 and 2007, he also travelled to New York, USA, where he expanded the range of his surgical techniques in aesthetic facial reshaping and breast reconstruction, attending the world-renowned Professors Sherell Aston and Daniel Baker at Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital.

In 2007, Mr. Koutsouris was awarded the specialty title in Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery after successfully passing his specialty examinations.

Part of his specialization in Aesthetic Surgery also took place in Birmingham, USA, alongside Luis Vaskonez and James Grotting, pioneering professors in endoscopic facial surgery and the use of lasers.

During his training, he participated in numerous research programs and performed a large number of experimental surgeries in collaboration with the ELPEN Research Center and the Plastic Surgery Clinic of the University of Ioannina.
